PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Perform various accounting tasks, with an emphasis on fixed assets, internal auditing and tax compliance.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  1. Maintain fixed asset records, including asset additions, disposals, book and tax depreciation and gain/loss on sale of assets
  2. Assist with capital expenditure budgets and budget to actual comparisons
  3. Assist with identifying risk/controls for accounting processes and internally audit accordingly
  4. Prepare closing workpapers and tax returns on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  5. Support accounting staff, processes and initiatives, especially as it relates to corporate credit cards and tax compliance
  6. Prepare special reports and complete other projects as directed.
  7. Perform additional assignments per direction of Tax Director/Controllers

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Educational and experience requirements include: 4 year business/accounting degree plus minimum 2 years of public accounting experience, with CPA preferred. Thorough knowledge of all relevant Federal, State and local requirements regarding financial records, pension, profit sharing, and the like is essential. Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills vital.

COMMENTS:

May be responsible for entire accounting function on a project or business unit for the company. Exempt under FLSA.
