Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines.



  1. Maintain, diagnose, and repair gas and diesel engines, medium truck fleet and heavy equipment.
  2. Complete required preventive maintenance tasks per manufacture specifications
  3. Prepare and complete service documentation.
  4. Perform welding as needed
  5. Work in a safe manner and maintain a clean, safe work environment.



Educational and experience requirements include: High school diploma or GED. At least 3 years experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy construction equipment mechanic (or a diploma from a trade school as a diesel mechanic). Welding knowledge and skills required. The ability to obtain a DOT medical card. Ability to be a self-starter and work independently on a regular basis. Be willing to work overtime and varying shifts. Possess a positive attitude and the ability to work in any kind of active construction zone.

Physical requirements include: Must be able to lift and carry 50 to 100 lbs. occasionally and /or 25 to 50 lbs. frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. constantly to move objects. Requires manual dexterity and ability to bend, twist, turn, stretch, squat, kneel, sit and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work in elevated, enclosed and sometimes hazardous areas in changing weather conditions.
